He stood barefoot and half naked on the cold wood floor, and laid a single lavender rose with a note of love on the pillow.  He bent down and gently kissed the soft lips of the man he loved. 

To My Sweets,

I give you this out of love. A real rose would wilt, silk would fade, and glass would break.

So here I lay this wooden rose to show you that my love for you will stay forever.
