"They are perfect."

"Okay, then maybe I'll wear them when we go out tonight."

"Hell no, you aren't going anywhere in those pants."

"But, you just said that I should buy them."

"Yes, but they aren't for going out. These are for taking off. Slowly."

I'm warm but I shiver standing naked in the light.

I only see the red tip of his cigar as he sits silently in the dark.

I don't get it, and I am embarrassed and impatient.

"You're allowed to touch, you know," I say as a feeble joke.

He knows, I gave him myself body and soul some time ago.

"Love, you don't gulp a glass of fine wine; you don't glance at a Picasso. Anything fine is meant to be enjoyed slowly."

Oh…. I stand a little straighter. "Well then, take your time."

"Hmmm... and I thought I made the directives around here."

"Well, isn't that what you want to say to me?"

"No, in fact, I want you dressed in layers."

"Don't you want me?"
